Mr. and Mrs. George Schaefer, Jefferson City, are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary with a trip to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. George Schaefer and Janet Robinett were married February 2, 1963, at St. Peters Church, Jefferson City. Father Arens officiated. They were attended by Betty Rothove Zimmer, Folk; Helen Robinett, Jefferson City; Rita Schaefer Gross, Jefferson City; Carol Robinett Prenger, Tebbetts; Martin Starke, deceased; Lester Robinett Jr., Jefferson City; Clarence Starke, deceased; Carey Robinett, Jefferson City; Agnes Schaefer Boessen, St. Thomas; Mary Schaefer Kesel, St. Elizabeth; Mike Bemboom, St. Louis; and Roger Borgmeyer, Meta. Mr. and Mrs. Schaefer have two children: Bill Schaefer and his wife Kathrin, Houston, Texas, and Tom Schaefer, Atlanta, Ga.
