Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Adams, Taos, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in June with a family trip to the Smoky Mountains - Gatlinburg, Tenn., hosted by their children. Vernon Adams and Shirley Eiken were married May 25, 1968, at St. Peters Cathedral, Jefferson City. The late Monsignor Joseph A. Vogelweid officiated. They were attended by Sharon (Eiken) Schuster, Jefferson City; Peggy (Adams) Waters, Jefferson City; Shirley (Adams) Weimholt, Jefferson City; Clifford Bax, Jefferson City; Roger Wuelling, Chamois; and Harold Weimholt, Jefferson City. Mr. and Mrs. Adams have five children: Michelle Robertson, Russellville; Christopher Adams and his wife Jordan, Jefferson City; Joshua Adams, Jefferson City; Jessica Luebbert and her husband Justin, Taos; and Nicholas Adams and his wife Megan, Holts Summit. They also have 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
