Mr. and Mrs. Roger R. Braun, Wardsville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary October 21 with a special blessing at a Mass of Thanksgiving at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville, followed by a reception and luncheon at the St. Stanislaus Parish Hall, hosted by their children and their families. They enjoyed a recent trip to New Orleans with friends and have a Rhine River Cruise to Holland and Amsterdam planned for the spring. Roger R. Braun and Ruth Ann Rodeman were married October 26, 1968, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Wardsville. The late Msgr. Charles Patterson and the late Father Michael Schaller officiated. They were attended by Jerome (Jerry) Lehmen, Osage Bend; Mary Alice Buschjost Schulte Cook and Darla Braun Shipman, both of Henley; Robert (Bob) Buschjost, Mary Patricia Braun Luebbering, and Joe Buschjost, all of St. Thomas; Ron Rodeman, Jefferson City; Jane Gevecker Mello, The Villages, Fla.; James (Jim) Gevecker, Overland Park, Kan.; and Phyllis Rodeman LeCuru, Wardsville. Mr. and Mrs. Braun have four children: Michele Braun and Meghan (Michael) Welty, both of Jefferson City; Russell Braun, Wardsville; and Melanie Braun, Springfield. They also have four grandchildren: Hollie Burrows, Reaghan Cook, Joshua Burrows, and Riglee Welty.
