Rebecca Suen and Jake Thessen, both of St. Louis, were married at 6 p.m., September 22, at The Coronado, St. Louis. Rob VanMeter performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Andy and Kam Suen, California. The groom is the son of John and Bev Thessen, Jefferson City. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The honor attendant was Margret Mace, Kansas City, friend of the bride. The attendants were Allie Smith, Los Angeles, Calif., friend of the bride; Brittany Eultgen, St. Louis, friend of the bride; Chai Avvaru, St. Louis, friend of the bride; Katie Hixon, St. Louis, friend of the bride; and Kristin Scheppers, St. Charles, sister of the groom. The best man was Josh Le Comte, Columbia, friend of the groom. The groomsmen included: Doug Burle, Florida, friend of the groom; Jordan Klebba, Kansas City, friend of the groom; Eric Shemeld, St. Louis, friend of the groom; Matt Scheppers, St. Charles, brother-in-law of the groom; and Austin Suen, California, brother of the bride. The flower girl was Maggie Thessen, daughter of Stan and Angie Thessen, Jefferson City. The ring bearer was "Bear", the couple's Golden Doodle. The ushers were Derek Verslues, Kansas City, friend of the groom; and Clayton Bruemmer, Kansas City, friend of the groom. A dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony at The Coronado, St. Louis. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held September 21 at Maggiano's. The bride is a graduate of California High School, California, and a graduate of Westminster College, Fulton, with a Business Communication degree. She is a Commercial Real Estate Broker at Hilliker Corporation. The groom is a graduate of Blair Oaks High School, Jefferson City; a graduate of Missouri State University, Springfield, with a Political Science degree; and a graduate of the University of MO-Columbia School of Law with a Law degree. He is an Attorney at Dentons. A wedding trip to Savannah, Ga. was taken and a European trip is planned in 2019. The couple resides in St. Louis.
