Craig and Donna Wilbers, New Bloomfield, announce the engagement of their daughter, Layken Wilbers, New Bloomfield, to Lance Sommerer, Jefferson City, son of Daniel and Denise Sommerer, Jefferson City. A September 29 wedding is planned at Empty Pockets Ranch, New Bloomfield. The bride-to-be is a 2014 graduate of New Bloomfield R-III High School, New Bloomfield, and a 2018 graduate of State Technical College of Missouri with a Certified Dental Assistant degree. She is employed at Wilson Orthodontics. The groom-to-be is a 2011 graduate of Calvary Lutheran High School, Jefferson City, and a 2016 graduate of the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Mechanical Engineer with Quaker Windows. The couple is registered at myregistry.com
