Cory Johnson, Jefferson City, and Peter Myren, Indianapolis, Indiana, were married at 2:00 p.m. October 20, 2018, at Cathedral of St. Joseph Church, Jefferson City. Msgr. Robert Kunwicki performed the double ring ceremony, and Deacon John Schwartze assisted. The bride is the daughter of Brian and Lisa Johnson, Jefferson City. The groom is the son of Mary Maloy, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Barry Myren, Indianapolis, Indiana. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless sheath silhouette gown in ivory lace over café satin with silver beadwork that bordered the illusion back, with a delicate beaded edge fingertip lace veil. The honor attendants were Jamie Cailteux, Kansas City, cousin of the bride; and Rachel Kleffner, Kansas City, cousin of the bride. The attendants were: Shae Johnson, Jefferson City, sister of the bride; Rebecca Myren, Indianapolis, Indiana, sister of the groom; and Emily Myren, Indianapolis, Indiana, sister of the groom. They wore long steel blue colored mesh fresses with lace cap sleeves with a keyhole back. The best man was Samuel Myren, Indianapolis, Indiana, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were: Bret Skirvin, Indianapolis, Indiana, friend of the groom; Michael Key, Tampa, Florida, friend of the groom; Mac Legere, Indianapolis, Indiana, friend of the groom; and Tyler Wigley, Indianapolis, Indiana, friend of the groom. The flower girl was Claire Cailteux, daughter of Sean and Jamie Cailteux, Kansas City, cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Eli Johnson, son of Dan and Jill Johnson, Chandler, Arizona, cousin of the bride. Music was provided by Scott and Tina Sellner, Jefferson City, family friends of the bride. The Mass servers were Jessica Johnson, Basehor, Kansas, cousin of the bride and Hannah Meystrik, Jefferson City, family friend of bride. The lectors were Amanda and Kathryn Johnson, Basehor, Kansas; and Caitlyn Kleffner, Brinktown, cousins of the bride. Offertory was presented by Kathe Menown, Kansas City, godmother of the bride; Paul Kleffner, Jefferson City, godfather of the bride; and Kevin and Cindy Workman, Indianapolis, Indiana, godparents of the groom. A dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony at the Cathedral of St. Joseph Undercroft. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held October 19 at the home of the bride's parents. The bride is a 2008 graduate of Helias Catholic High School, Jefferson City, a 2012 graduate of Truman State University, Kirksville, with a B.S. in Communication Disorders, and a 2016 graduate of Kansas University, Lawrence, Kansas, with a Doctorate in Audiology. She is an Audiologist with SAM's Club, Jefferson City. The groom is a 2009 graduate of Scecina Memorial High School, Indianapolis, Indiana, and is currently a Sargent in the US Army, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
