Angela Rose Orr and Daniel William Kennedy Jr., both of Kansas City, were married at 4 p.m., October 31, at The Stanley Rooftop, Lee's Summit. Adam Miller performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Janice and Sam Orr, Jefferson City. The groom is the son of Pam and Daniel Kennedy, Overland Park, Kan. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an off-the-shoulder, fit and flare gown with guipure lace corset bodice and chapel-length train and veil. She carried a clutch bouquet of multi-colored flowers selected by the groom. The honor attendant was Louisa Orr, Portland, Ore., sister of the bride. The attendants were Ashley Garza, Kansas City, friend of the couple; Ashley Haslag, Versailles, friend of the bride; Laura Hollar, Kansas City, friend of the couple; and Devin Jones, Indianapolis, Ind., sister of the groom. They wore black gowns of various styles. The best man was Greg Shuff, Chicago, Ill., friend of the groom. The groomsmen included: Zach Garza, Kansas City, friend of the couple; Brian Bruns, Chicago, Ill., friend of the groom; Jimmy Bolanos, Kansas City, friend of the couple; and Eben Jones, Indianapolis, Ind., brother-in-law of the groom. The flower girl was Lexie Wankum, daughter of Julie and Mark Wankum, Taos, goddaughter of the bride. The ushers were Tom Wankum, Lee's Summit, uncle of the bride, and Christian Hill, Kansas City, friend of the groom. A reception dinner and dance followed the ceremony at The Stanley, Lee's Summit. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held October 29 at Lidia's, Kansas City. The bride is a 2009 graduate of Helias High School, Jefferson City, and a 2012 graduate of the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, with a BS in Public Relations. She is Director for Investor Relations with Kansas City Area Development Council. The groom is a 2006 graduate of Blue Valley West High School, Overland Park, Kan.; a 2010 graduate of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., with a BS in Communications and Biomedical Engineering; and a 2013 graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., with a Masters in Biomedical Engineering and Neural Robotics. He is a Biomedical Engineer at Innovation Center, Novation IQ. A wedding trip to Barcelona, Spain is planned for a future date. The couple resides in Kansas City.
