Lauren Zielinski and Joseph Prater, both of Lake St. Louis, were married August 1 at Immaculate Conception Dardenne, Dardenne Prairie. Fr. Freddy Devaraj performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Larry and Karen Zielinski, St. Peters. The groom is the son of Curt and Christine Prater, Jefferson City. A dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony at Broemmelsiek Park, Defiance. A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom's parents, was held July 31 at Sugarfire BBQ, Wentzville. The bride is a 2004 graduate of Incarnate Word Academy, Normandy, and a 2017 graduate of Ross University of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She is a Veterinarian at Banfield Pet Hospital, O'Fallon. The groom is a 2008 graduate of Helias Catholic High School, Jefferson City, and a 2012 graduate of the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, with a Bachelor of Science Physical Education K-12 degree. He is a Physical Education Teacher at St. Alban Roe Catholic School, Wildwood, and Assistant Football Coach at St. John Vianney High School, Kirkwood. A wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, will be taken at a later date. The couple resides in Lake St. Louis.
