Mr. and Mrs. Gary D. Arnel, Jefferson City, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 24 with a family dinner at Madison's, hosted by Jeff and Bria Arnel. Gary D. Arnel and Shirley L. Perkins were married July 24, 1971, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Jefferson City. Father Patrick Shortt officiated. They were attended by Charlotte (Perkins) Collet, Jefferson City, and George Carter, Holts Summit. Mr. and Mrs. Arnel have two children: Keith Arnel, New Bloomfield, and Jeffrey Arnel and his wife Bria, Jefferson City. They also have two grandchildren: Haley Arnel and Blake Arnel.
