Mr. and Mrs. Ray Boes, Jefferson City, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary October 23 with a dinner and dance reception at the Wardsville Lions Club, Wardsville, hosted by their children. Ray Boes and Betty Twehus were married October 16, 1971, at St. Peters Catholic Church, Jefferson City. Fr. Patrick Shortt officiated. They were attended by Mary Schaefer and Linda Colter, both of Jefferson City; Lori Ann Cave, New Bloomfield; Krista Schmitz, Millstadt, Ill.; Bill Kaullen, Linn; Larry Haslag, deceased; and Joseph W. Twehus, St. Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. Boes have two children: Chad Boes and his wife Tara, Jefferson City, and Stacie Kautsch and her husband Martin, Russellville. They also have four grandchildren: Brady Boes; Aspen Boes, deceased; and twins, Adler and Grayson Kautsch.
