Holiday Market bigger, with more days to shop

The Chattanooga Market has plans to double your opportunities to buy local.

The Holiday Market, being presented in conjunction with MainX24 on the Southside, is Saturday and Sunday at First Tennessee Pavilion, 1826 Reggie White Blvd. It's a good opportunity to support local growers, artists and crafters and buy something unusual for someone on your gift list.

More than 150 vendors will be selling unique arts and crafts, gourmet foods, decor and specialty handmade items. It is the 10th year of this event. Sweet Georgia Sound will provide holiday music both days, and there will be plenty of hot chocolate.

Coming up the next two weekends, Dec. 9-10 and 16-17, is Holiday Market Too inside the Chattanooga Convention Center. Market organizers said Holiday Market Too was created to provide shoppers an indoor environment and to provide sufficient space for the increased number of vendors hoping to be part of the market. Hours will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. those four days.

Live holiday music and even a special performance by the Chattanooga Boys Choir on Dec. 10 will make it a festive environment. Gift-wrap services also will be provided.
