The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation launched an investigation Friday after the discovery of a man's body at a home northwest of Pikeville, Tenn.

TBI spokeswoman Susan Niland confirmed Friday that the state agency and the Bledsoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of 26-year-old William Keith Smith, whose body was found at a home on Paul Holland Road, a few miles north of Fall Creek Falls State Park.

Smith's body was transported to Nashville for an autopsy, Niland said.

She said the investigation is ongoing and no other details were immediately available.
