Collins to head TVA human resources

Sue Collins has been named senior vice president and chief human resources officer for the Tennessee Valley Authority.

Collins, who has served as vice president of human resources since joining TVA in 2014, succeeds Kathy Black, who retired earlier this year as head of all aspects of TVA's people organization.

"Since joining our leadership team at TVA, Sue has led an important evolution of our human resources function to support our company's long-term, strategic goals," TVA President Bill Johnson said. "In this role, she will continue to guide an increasingly innovative organization that is vital to ensuring we maintain and continue to develop a talented, diverse workforce engaged in our mission of service at TVA."

Before joining TVA, Collins served as senior vice president of human resources for the Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, an Exelon company. She earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Le Moyne College and an MBA with an emphasis in human resources and organizational behavior from Syracuse University.

Flynn hired as associate at Berke, Berke & Berke

The Chattanooga law firm of Berke, Berke & Berke Attorneys has hired attorney A. Emma Flynn as one of its associates.

Flynn graduated from the University of Miami and received her law degree from Notre Dame Law School. Before joining Berke, Berke, & Berke, Flynn managed her own law firm where she practiced in business, labor, and real estate. She also provided services in dispute resolution and practiced conservatorships.

Flynn is a member of the Chattanooga Bar Association's Young Attorney Division and former The Thousand Network, an international network of innovators.

She joins Marvin Berke, senior member, Ronald Berke, and Charles Flynn at the 82-year-old law firm.

Charitat heads marketing at Bluff View Art District

Andre' Charitat has been named marketing director for Bluff View Art District. In his new role, Charitat will lead advertising, public relations, sponsorship, partnership and social media opportunities for Chattanooga's first art district, which stretches more than 1.5 city blocks and sits atop stone cliffs that plunge into the Tennessee River below.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga who majored in marketing and minored in sociology, Charitat most recently worked at the Plastic Surgery Group as the marketing and communications specialist.

"Andre' will be a true asset to the Bluff View Art District," said Angela Portera Niemeyer, Bluff View Art District president. "With his passion for innovative marketing practices, we can take our art district and its superb offerings to the next level of excellence."

Reliance promotes Chastain to sales director

Reliance Partners, a leading insurance agency, has promoted Jordan Chastain to senior director of sales for the transportation division of the company. The company is one of the fastest-growing insurance providers to the trucking and logistics market in the nation.

Jordan is a native of Gainesville, Ga., and a graduate of the University of Mississippi's Risk Management and Insurance program.

"Jordan's work ethic has been instrumental in his success and the continued growth of our trucking division," said Reliance Vice President Jason Coleman.

Reliance Partners is a commercial insurance agency based in Chattanooga. The company's staffing has more than tripled to 35 employees in less than a year.

Threadgill joins Chambliss firm

A new associate attorney is joining Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C.'s growing litigation and risk management practice. Logan Threadgill, a Knoxville native with a focus in commercial law, will serve as an advocate for Chambliss' clients in the realm of business litigation.

Threadgill graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law and serves as a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Chattanooga Bar Association. Before his venture into law, Threadgill earned his bachelor of arts degree in business economics and government from Wofford College, where he was on the Wofford men's soccer team.
