Chattanooga Football Club's first international friendly of the 2019 season will bring Guatemalan powerhouse Comunicaciones Futbol Club to Finley Stadium for a 6 p.m. kickoff on March 23.

Comunicaciones FC has won 30 league titles and three Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) cups. Other championships include 10 Supercups and eight Copas de Guatemala.

The club's lineup includes many Guatemalan national team players who will compete for spots on the 2020 World Cup squad.

This is the first time an international first-division club will play Chattanooga FC.

"We have always wanted to host a team from Guatemala at Finley," CFC president Sheldon Grizzle said in a news release Friday. "Comunicaciones has won dozens of championships in Guatemala, and so it will be a real test for our guys right out of the gates. We are honored to be their hosts in Chattanooga."

"Los Cremas," or Comunicaciones FC, is the winningest team in Guatemala history. The club is celebrating its 70th year of existence.

"We are proud to share this experience with Chattanooga Football Club," Comunicaciones FC said in the release. "In addition to a good match, we will be able to share experiences and alternatives that allow us to lay the foundations of a collaboration between both institutions."

The exhibition match is included with Chattanooga FC's season passes. Individual tickets will be available for purchase March 1. A portion of the proceeds will go to La Paz Chattanooga, which is a local organization working to empower and engage the Latino population.
