TO DO SUNDAY

* The prettiest place to take mom for Mother's Day may be the Southern Blooms Festival, which is also a reminder that the iconic attraction we call Rock City is formally known as Rock City Gardens and has more than 400 native plant species. Admission is $27 for adults, $15 for children 3-12. The attraction, at 1400 Patten Road, Lookout Mountain, is open 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., but you'll need to reserve a timed entry for your visit. If you can't make it this weekend, the festival continues May 15-16. seerockcity.com
