George named senior vice president at First Horizon

First Horizon Bank recently named Christopher George as senior vice president and private client relationship manager at First Horizon.

A native of Chattanooga, George comes to First Horizon after serving as a relationship banker before moving into banking leadership at Regions Bank. Most recently, George served as a vice president in wealth management before joining the First Horizon team, according to a news release.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga graduate is licensed in property, casualty and life insurance.



East Ridge Residence names Marks to head dining services

East Ridge Residence independent living community has hired executive chef Bradley Marks as dining services director, where he will oversee all meal preparation, planning, and dining services for the senior living community located at 1417 North Mack Smith Road.

Additionally, Marks will become regional director of dining services for Veritas Senior Living, a management company that oversees day-to-day operations at East Ridge Residence, according to a news release.

A Chattanooga native, Marks comes to East Ridge Residence from Ascension Living Alexian Village senior community of Signal Mountain.


Pippenger named consultant for town of Lookout Mountain

Brooke Pippenger began serving as the town consultant for the Town of Lookout Mountain, Tenn., effective Aug. 1, according to a news release.

Prior to accepting the position, Pippenger worked with the Mother's Day Out Program at Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, where she was program director since 2012.

Originally from Knoxville, Pippenger graduated with a liberal arts degree in speech communications and a minor in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. After moving to Chattanooga, Pippenger began a five-year career working for Siskin Children's Institute, formerly Siskin School and Children's Wellness Center.


Evans, Garner join local Pinnacle Bank

Chris Evans and Cheryl Garner have joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as financial advisor and financial advisor assistant, respectively, based at the firm's office at 801 Broad Street in Chattanooga. The pair has worked together serving clients at First Horizon Bank in Chattanooga since 1994, according to a news release.

"Chris has been serving clients in Chattanooga and North Georgia for more than 40 years, with an outstanding reputation for building meaningful relationships and helping clients achieve their financial goals," said Ryan Murphy, Chattanooga area manager in the same release. "She and Cheryl have been working together for nearly 30 years, providing the type of efficiency, consistency and depth of knowledge that Pinnacle clients enjoy. We are incredibly fortunate that they chose to join our team here."

Evans had been with First Horizon for 41 years, most recently as senior vice president relationship manager.

Garner had been with First Horizon for 28 years, most recently as a client service specialist. She earned a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership from Bethel University.
