Tuesday's Best of Preps Stars of the Night

THE HIGH FIVE

› Parker Robison, McCallie: In his first game of the season, the junior point guard hit the game-winning layup with 6.3 seconds left and scored a game-high 27 points in Tuesday's 54-52 home victory over Boyd Buchanan.

› Cambria Mabry, South Pittsburg: The senior guard drilled seven 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 21 points in a 52-30 home victory over Bledsoe County.

› Carlee Lowry, Signal Mountain: The sophomore star forward scored 27 points through three quarters to lead the Lady Eagles to a 51-25 home victory over Red Bank.

› Christen Collins, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe: The sophomore point guard poured in 21 points -- 18 coming on six 3-pointers -- as the Lady Warriors improved to 7-0 with a 74-15 win over Gordon Lee.

› Shaun Pangle, Soddy-Daisy: The senior guard helped the Trojans improve to 5-2 with a game-high 22 points in a 48-21 win over Hixson.


BOYS' RESULTS

McCallie 54, Boyd Buchanan 52: McCallie junior point guard Parker Robison had been patiently waiting for his moment. After sitting out his team's first seven games due to injury, Robison was a difference maker on both ends of the court in his season debut with 27 points and five steals the Blue Tornado rallied to down the Bucs.

Robison drove past two defenders to his right to hit the game-winning layup with 6.3 seconds left. Down 25-19 at halftime, he willed McCallie back with 17 second-half points in which he made three of his team's seven second-half treys.

"I am proud of our team's grit," Robison said. "The first half we started slow and were down, but we didn't quit. To be able to make the game-winning basket is such an amazing feeling. I can't even put it into words. Our student section was awesome tonight and this was a great way to make my comeback. I don't take a second for granted."

Brainerd 63, Arts & Sciences 62: Dennis Lewis Jr. recorded his 1,000th career point, while fellow Panther senior Donivon Thomas dominated down low with 14 rebounds and eight blocked shots. CSAS' Chase Pride led all with 18 points. Na'Quan Lay, JT Hood and Lewis Jr. all had 13 points for Brainerd.

Silverdale Baptist 61, Meigs County 51: Houston Holland and Kennedy Okpara led the way to victory with 17 and 15 points, respectively, for the Seahawks, who outscored the Tigers 21-11 in the fourth quarter.

Van Buren County 51, Sequatchie County 48: The Indians fought back in the second half, in which Brendan Cotton scored 11 of his 13 points in the third quarter, but fell short. Sequatchie was led by Baron Cribbs with 14 points.

Bradley Central 70, Howard 53: Trevor Carpenter scored a game-high 20 points for the Bears, who also had Jackson Ary and Ramireon Taylor combine for 31 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the field.

Red Bank 78, Signal Mountain 59: Sophomore Anthony Bonner scored a game-high 22 points to lead four Lions in double figures.

Plainview 57, Baylor 55: Zane Restelli led the Red Raiders with 15 points while Nyziah Whaley added 14 in a double-overtime loss.

Grace Academy 64, Berean Academy 37: Eli Ibrahim made 10 2-point field goals on his way to a 23-point outing for the Golden Eagles.

Central 65, East Ridge 61: Sophomore Ronye Watson scored a game-high 22 points while teammate Matthew Sharpe added 20 in the Purple Pounders' victory. East Ridge's Tyree Smith finished with 19 points.

Sonoraville 83, Unity Christian 41: Elijah Woods and Brant Bryant had 17 and points, respectively, to lead five Sonoraville players in double figures.

Adairsville 60, Ringgold 57: The Tigers lost the Region 6-AAA game despite 16 points from Luke Rominger and 15 from Brevin Massengale.


GIRLS' RESULTS

East Hamilton 72, Chattanooga Christian 65: The Lady Hurricanes scored 46 points in the second half to overcome a sizzling showing by Lady Chargers eighth grader Aubriyana Camp, who scored 36 points. Nia Woodruff made 9-of-12 free throws and scored 19 points for East Hamilton, which also received 17 points from Niya McGhee.

Notre Dame 54, Collegedale Academy 31: Dayonna Perryman starred with 22 points and Miriam Gaines added 13 for the Lady Irish.

Bradley Central 96, Howard 2: The Bearettes led 46-0 at the end of the first quarter as they shot 19-of-23 from the field and made all six 3-point attempts. Avary Brewer finished with a game-high 15 points and made three from beyond the arc.

Sale Creek 44, Rockwood 18: Madi Ellis and Kya Escobar combined for 22 points to lead the Lady Panthers to 5-1 overall.

Soddy-Daisy 48, Hixson 13: Laura Jenkins scored eight of her game-high 10 points in the Lady Trojans' 21-point first quarter.

Meigs County 48, Silverdale Baptist 42: Lainey Fitzgerald led the Lady Tigers with 11 points.

Chattooga 58, Trion 55: Makiya Parrish hit four free throws in the final minute to lift the Lady Indians. Ransley Lawrence topped Trion with 20 points.
