PREP WORK
Make lemonade. Chambliss Center for Children has issued its second annual Lemonade Stand Challenge to raise funds for the future Isaiah 117 House that will serve foster children in Hamilton County. Over the weekend of July 15-17, youth groups, Scout troops, cheerleading squads and neighborhood friends are asked to "fill the county with lemonade stands." Collected earnings may be dropped off 9 a.m.-5 p.m. July 18-20 at the Chambliss Center, 315 Gillespie Road. The group who earns the most money will be announced on the center's Facebook page at noon July 22. Find registration information at chamblisscenter.org/lemonade-stand-challenge. If you can't find a lemonade stand in your neighborhood, Feed Company Table + Tavern (201 W. Main St.) and the 1885 Grill restaurants in Ooltewah and St. Elmo (9469 Bradmore Lane, 3914 St. Elmo Ave.) will donate a portion of their lemonade drink sales from July 16-17 to the cause.
