'A Taste of Southern'

The Chattanooga business community showed up for Southern Adventist University's inaugural "A Taste of Southern" event on Oct. 2, raising more than $88,000 to create a scholarship fund for first-generation college students. More than 200 people attended the special evening, which included art, music and a farm-to-table dinner provided in part by the university's Thatcher Farm.

Chattery hosts Hispanic and Latinx businesses

Sept. 17 was a celebration of Hispanic and Latinx entrepreneurs at The Chattery on Rossville Avenue. The festivities were sponsored by Latina Professionals of Chattanooga as part of The Chattery's Summer Saturdays program. Businesses that were showcased include BerryBox Chattanooga, artist Kristina Sanchez-Mills, The Local Juicery & Kitchen, and Mexican and Guatemalan crafts and food from Martha Elizabeth Ordonex.
