SOFTBALL

Division II-AA state quarterfinals

Baylor 10-15, St. Benedict 0-1: Katie Raper, Morgan Sharpe, Kaylee Snyder and Addi Yates hit home runs as the Lady Red Raiders advanced to the Spring Fling to try and win their eighth straight TSSAA state title.


TRACK AND FIELD

Division II-AA state pentathlon

Baylor senior Evie Culbreath broke her own school record with 3,589 points Thursday at Brentwood Academy as the North Carolina signee won her second straight title in the state pentathlon.

Culbreath opened with a win in the 100-meter hurdles and also won the long jump, placed second in the shot put, third in the high jump and fourth in the 800. She will be back in action Wednesday at the DII-AA state meet at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.
