Ring named CEO of Sherman and Reilly
David Ring, formerly CEO of Ligchine International Corp. in Darien, Wisconsin, for the past five years, has been named president and CEO of Sherman and Reilly in Chattanooga.
He succeeds Michael H. Dunn, who will continue as the company's chair and to whom Ring will report.
Following the re-acquisition of Sherman and Reilly in 2019 by Dunn and his business partner, Douglas Diamond, the company has gone through a period of accelerated revenue and profit growth, operational refinement and product line expansion.
"We have an outstanding management team," Dunn said in an announcement of Ring's appointment. "The addition of Dave Ring as the new CEO of Sherman and Reilly will ensure that the company continues to be a leader in the electric utility industry in the years ahead."
Ring has served in leadership and board roles for a number of industrial companies and earned his Master of Business Administration in international business from Lehigh University.
Dr. Munson-Jackson joins CHI Memorial practice
Dr. Julie Munson-Jackson has joined CHI Memorial Internal Medicine Associates — Chattanooga.
After earning a bachelor's degree from Lee University in Cleveland, Munson-Jackson earned her medical degree from Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee. She completed her family medicine residency at the UT College of Medicine Chattanooga.
Munson-Jackson is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and in addiction medicine by the American Board of Pain Medicine. She has 17 years of experience caring for patients in the Chattanooga area.

Dye joins CHI Convenient Care in Cleveland
Nurse practitioner Leslie Dye has joined CHI Memorial Convenient Care in Cleveland.
She earned her bachelor's in nursing from East Tennessee State University and her master's in nursing, family nurse practitioner, from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She has eight years of experience working with patients in hospital and clinic settings.
Leslie DyeGravitt wins top Register honor
Hamilton County Register of Deeds Marc Gravitt has been recognized by the County Officials Association of Tennessee as the recipient of this year's Outstanding Register of Deeds Award. He was recognized at the association's annual conference awards banquet, which took place earlier this month.
Gravitt is a former East Ridge City Council member, vice mayor and state representative who was elected in 2018 as the Hamilton County register of deeds. From 2014 to 2018, Gravitt represented District 30 in the Tennessee House. At the time, District 30 included the Missionary Ridge, East Ridge, Brainerd, East Brainerd, Apison and Collegedale areas. During his time at the state Capitol, he was a member of the Local Government Committee, Business & Utilities Committee, member of the Veteran's Caucus and served as chair of the Republican Caucus Bill Review Committee.
Gravitt has served his fellow registers for the last four years as the Legislative Committee chair.
"Marc has demonstrated his dedication to our association, Hamilton County and the state of Tennessee," association Executive Director Rodney Archer said in an announcement of the award. "He is a significant asset to our organization."
Marc GravittSmith named senior trust manager at First Horizon
Justin Smith has been named a senior trust relationship manager of First Horizon Bank in Chattanooga.
Smith began his career in finance at First Horizon as a part-time teller in 2008. He served in several positions before moving to a private trust company, followed by a wealth management company before returning to First Horizon.
"Returning to First Horizon after 12 years is so exciting for me. As a young man starting my career, the foundation I was given at the bank has carried me in my career and brought me full circle," Smith said in a news release.
Smith is a graduate of Belhaven University, where he received his bachelor's degree in organizational management. He also received his master's degree in leadership from Belhaven. He serves on the Erlanger Community Health Centers board, Ronald McDonald House finance committee, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga planned giving advisory board, and previously served on the boards for Choose Chattanooga, Friends of the Library, American Red Cross and Muse of Fire Project.
