Greg Scheid, a 40-year-plus veteran of the tourism and hospitality industry, has joined See Rock City Inc. as chief operating officer.
Scheid comes to to the 91-year-old Lookout Mountain attraction after working in park management with Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio and its parent company, Cedar Fair Entertainment Company. Scheid became regional vice president for Cedar Fair in 2016, managing six theme parks throughout the United States and Canada. Scheid then began his own consulting firm in 2018, collaborating with private equity firms and financial analysts in the regional theme park industry.
Doug Chapin, the fourth-generation president and CEO of the privately-owned Rock City, says he is "thrilled to have Greg step into this critical role" as the company continues to grow. "Greg's operational expertise and values-based leadership is the perfect fit that we have been looking for in a leader to join our team," he says.
Scheid has served on the advisory board of A Kid Again, a charity that supports and offers events and activities for families of children facing life-threatening illnesses, as well as the Warren County (Ohio) Convention and Visitors Bureau. Scheid also served in a governor-appointed position with the Ohio Tourism Board.
Jenny Green, a Baylor faculty member and coach for 25 years, has joined Todd Henon Properties as a real estate agent licensed in Tennessee and Georgia. Green earned her undergraduate and master's degrees at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she was a collegiate athlete and coach. She co-founded Matt Green Construction two decades ago.
Donovan Reifinger has been named business development and construction manager for Core Homes. A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Reifinger graduated from West Chester University and worked selling homes for luxury home builders in the Denver area before moving to Chattanooga in 2022.
Cassie Bell has been promoted to senior tax manager in the Cleveland, Tennessee office of HHM Certified Public Accountants. Bell is a graduate of the University of Georgia and has worked at HHM for 17 years in a variety of roles.
PGA Golfer Kevin Ashley has been hired to run the golf operations at Valleybrook Golf and Country Club, where he will oversee membership, pro shop merchandising, tournaments, special events, golf instruction and the golf staff. Ashley previously served as head golf professional at the Creeks Bend Golf Club and Moccasin Bend Golf Club as well as assistant golf professional at The Lookout Mountain Club.
Susan Veal has been named director of operations for the Chattanooga law firm of Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel P.C. A native of Rochester, New York, Veal is a graduate of Syracuse University and previously served as the firm's business and intake records manager. Veal serves as president of the Greater Chattanooga Area Chapter of the Association of Records and Information Management Professionals International and is a member of the International Legal Technology Association.
Dr. Joseph Zenisek, a cardiologist who most recently served as an interventional cardiologist at Indiana University Health, has joined Centennial Heart at Parkridge Medical Center. Zenisek completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas and medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He then completed his residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before completing fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis.
Colleen Kraft as been named banking center manager in East Ridge for First Horizon Bank. A graduate of Illinois State University, Kraft previously worked at Fifth Third Bank for nearly nine years.
Rebecca Gorman has been named director of sales and marketing for Embassy Suites Chattanooga at Hamilton Place. Gorman, a graduate of Florida State University and St. Mary's University, has more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry. She previously served as director of sales for Vista Host Hotels Management and Development, as well as director of sales and marketing for Maximum Hospitality.
Angela Stiggins, administrator and market vice president of operations for CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia, has been elected to the Georgia Hospital Association board. Stiggins has worked in the industry for 34 years, serves on the board for the hospital association's Center for Rural Health, as well as the Georgia Department of Public Health Northwest Health District, the Catoosa County College and Career Academy and Blood Assurance, North Georgia. She also serves as vice chair of the Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce.
Joanne Arnett has been named assistant vice president and banking center manager in Cleveland, Tennessee for First Horizon Bank. A graduate of Florida State University, Arnett has eight years of banking experience with a total of 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She has served as a chamber diplomat for the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce for over a decade.
