Good morning, Chattanooga!

Amid the continuous flow of sobering COVID-19 news, this month's Edge magazine celebrated Champions of Health Care who have dedicated their lives to caring for others.

Pediatric surgical nurse practitioner at Erlanger Brynn Byers was inspired to go into medicine after being diagnosed with a chronic illness as a teen.

Dr. Andrea Willis, chief medical officer for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, is working to create more inclusive practices in health care.

Holly Gadd is the lead volunteer nurse practitioner at Volunteers in Medicine Chattanooga, while also serving as the dean of nursing at Southern Adventist University and pulling the occasional emergency room shift.

CHANGE OF PLANS: Although Bonnaroo was canceled due to the weather, those already in the area for the festival worked to make the best of their time.

FREIGHT ALLIES: There is a freight research hub planned for Chattanooga as Thrive and Georgia Tech team up to create a new center.
