Meanwhile, Chattanooga's own CHI Memorial Hosptal took third place in the rankings.
VUMC, based in Nashville, is nationally ranked in seven adult specialties, including urology and cardiology, and is "high performing" in four adult specialties, according to the 2017 rankings.
