UPDATE: The Chattanooga Police Department has identified the man who was shot Wednesday evening.
Officers found Terry Thomas, 20, suffering from a gunshot wound after responding to a person shot report on the 4300 block of Oakland Avenue, according to a police news release.
Thomas was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspected shooter fled the scene before police arrived.
The shooting was a result of a disorder between Thomas and the suspected shooter, according to the release. Thomas' sister, Dominique Thomas, said her brother was shot in the leg by his cousin after an argument.
Members of the Violent Crime Bureau are investigating the incident.
