Dalton police are on the lookout for a man who stole a $200 power tool from a garage Monday afternoon.

The suspect stole an impact drill from Arevalo's Tire on the 300 block of North Glenwood Avenue, according to a news release.

Two men entered the store to get a tire repaired and when it was time to pick up the tire, one of the men stayed in the garage while the other went inside the office to pay for the repair. A surveillance video shows he man left in the garage began to roll the tire out to the parking lot and saw an impact wrench left unattended.

The man picked it up and concealed it in his pants. When employees noticed the tool was missing, they checked their camera system and found footage of the theft. The suspect is a black male with a shave head who wore a blue t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and shorts with black boots. The men were driving a black, single-cab Nissan truck with heavy rusting on the roof.

Anyone who knows the suspect or has information about this crime is asked to contact Detective Aaron Simpson at 706-278-9085, extension 9253.
