UPDATE at 7:54 p.m: Chattanooga police are investigating a shooting that was reported on the 1300 block of East 36th Street.

Police confirmed a man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital.

The shooting happened at a different location, police said.

Chattanooga police are responding to a person-shot call on East 34th St.

No information was immediately available, but a Times Free Press reporter is on the scene.

It's the second reported shooting of the day, and the first one ended with the victim dead.

Police found Dmarcus Collins, 24, in the the 1600 block of South Kelly Street around 4 a.m., according to a news release.

He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
