Bradfield was shot to death May 13 shortly before midnight on the 3800 block of Brainerd Road. He was walking with another man when someone fired gunshots, according to a witness. Bradfield was dead before police arrived. At the time, police found no visible bullet wounds on Bradfield's body, but the medical examiner ruled his death a homicide May 15.
Bradfield, 20, suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest and abdomen, according to the report. The bullet lacerated his heart, liver and right lung. The bullet did not exit his body and was recovered from under his right arm, closer to his back.
