FAIR PLAY, S.C. (AP) - A Georgia couple has died in a wreck on an interstate highway in South Carolina.

The wreck happened shortly after 11 a.m. Monday on Interstate 85 near the Georgia-South Carolina line.

Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore says 56-year-old Austin Wayne Brown and his wife, 59-year-old Jennifer Ann Brown, both of Bainbridge, Georgia, died at the scene.

South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Joe Hovis says the Browns' SUV ran into the back of a tractor trailer.

The couple's son, 17-year-old Austin Jacob Brown, was flown to AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson with injuries that did not appear to be life threatening.

The truck driver was not hurt. Shore said the tractor trailer had mechanical problems and was in the right lane of the interstate with emergency flashers operating.
