Calhoun, Ga.-based Mohawk Industries plans to expand its Dickson, Tenn., operations and create 245 new jobs, officials said today.
Mohawk will add a second plant near its recently built Dickson tile factory, said Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam.
"I want to thank Mohawk for choosing to expand in Dickson and for creating more than 200 new jobs in Tennessee and Dickson County," Haslam said in a statement.
The second plant in Dickson will add 245 jobs at full capacity and is scheduled to begin operations in late 2018.
Construction on the new facility will start this summer. The plant will be operated by Mohawk's Dal-Tile division, the largest manufacturer of ceramic tile in North America, according to officials.
