Dead woman found in smoky house in Cleveland, Tenn.

Emergency responders in Cleveland, Tenn., responded to a call of smoke coming from a home and found a woman dead, according to the Cleveland Police Department.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Evie West said the 911 call came in at 3:02 p.m. for a residence in the 900 block of Sunset Avenue.

Firefighters and police could see smoke but no fire on the outside of the house, West said. A family member let them inside and they found the body of a 72-year-old woman.

The investigation is ongoing, West said.
