State investigators are looking into a fire that killed a man and his wife Sunday morning in Rabun County.
The fire that claimed the lives of Joseph Kneer, 71, and Phyllis Kneer, 77, started about 7 a.m. in the 3000 block of Blue Ridge Gap, said Glenn Allen, the spokesman for the Georgia insurance commissioner's office.
"Their bodies were discovered in the rubble by firefighters and taken to a GBI crime laboratory for an autopsy and identification," Allen said.
Investigators suspect the fire started in the kitchen area of the wood frame home.
It is unclear what caused the fire.
No other details were released.
