Chris Anderson will face Erskine Oglesby in runoff for District 7 City Council seat

Chris Anderson was not able to collect 50 percent of the vote tonight and will face Erskine Ogelsby in a runoff election for the District 7 Chattanooga City Council seat.

In 2013 Anderson unseated Manny Rico, and Rico attempted to retake the seat this year. Rico, 71, claimed just 260 votes tonight.

Anderson, 36, claimed 810 votes and Oglesby, 61, took 630.

District 7 includes Alton Park, Downtown, East Lake and St. Elmo. 

The runoff election will be held April 11.
