UPDATE: The Dalton Police Department has arrested the suspect in an alleged domestic shooting incident today on the 1000 block of Kammi Street. No injuries have been reported.

Christian Morales, 19, reportedly had left the scene before police arrived but agreed to return and turn himself in. Morales was arrested without incident.

Morales has been charged with two counts of terroristic threats. Further charges are possible.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Dalton Police Department is responding today to reports of shots fired and a possible barricaded subject on the 1000 block of Kammi Street, according to a release from the DPD.

No injuries have been reported.

The situation seems to have started as a domestic incident, when the suspect allegedly became angry during an argument with a girlfriend and began firing shots into walls and outside the house.

The girlfriend left the house safely.

Officers have set up a perimeter around the house and have closed Needham Drive near the residence, according to the release.
