A Grundy County woman was charged with arson after she allegedly tried to burn down her parents' home Friday.

Stephanie Morrison, 39, had been arguing with her parents Thursday when Tracy City police were called to the home in the 100 block of 12th Street to remove Morrison, the Grundy County Herald reported.

The next day, a passing motorist noticed the fire and called 911. The address turned out to be Morrison's parents' home. Police arrived quickly and were able to put out the fire, which involved a four-wheeler and part of the home.

In addition to Morrison's parents, her two children also lived in the home. Her parents gained custody of the children while Morrison served a previous prison term.

Later that day, police saw Morrison walking down the street and reported she smelled of gasoline. She was charged with arson after an initial interview.
