Dalton police investigated a shooting Monday evening in the 400 block of Wrinkle Street, police spokesman Bruce Frazier said in a statement.
An 18-year-old male was found conscious and alert with a gunshot wound to the face and was transported to a local hospital. He was expected to be airlifted to a hospital in Chattanooga for treatment.
The initial investigation indicated two suspects were at large and investigators said the only description available was that both suspects were white men.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification.
