Human skeletal remains found in a remote wooded area in Grundy County have been identified, according to a news release from the Grundy County Sheriff's Office.
The Medical Examiner's Office identified the remains as those of 35-year-old Dylan Winton from Tracy City. Winton was reported missing on March 13.
The cause of death has not officially been determined, the release stated, but Sheriff Clint Shrum confirmed that Winton had been shot multiple times.
"The Sheriff's Office will continue to work diligently on this case. No further information will be released at this time," the release reads.
