MARYVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A 6-year-old boy who had been missing for a day in Tennessee has been found safe.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said on Twitter at about 4 p.m. that Kaydon Leach had been located. No other information was released.
The child had been missing since about 6 p.m. Monday in East Tennessee near his home in the Top of the World community.
Media cited a statement from Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong in reporting earlier that ground and air searches were underway Tuesday.
Berrong said the sheriff's office searched throughout the night and received assistance from an Army Blackhawk helicopter detachment.
