A two-vehicle crash in Jackson County kills Pisgah man, injures two others on Saturday

A Pisgah, Alabama, man who was the passenger involved in a two-vehicle crash was killed and another Pisgah man and a Chickamauga man were injured Saturday morning at the intersection of Alabama Highway 71 and Jackson County Road 88, officials said.

Kenneth Wade Holcomb, 63, of Pisgah was killed when the 2006 Nissan in which he was a passenger collided with a 2001 Dodge driven by Ralph Hall, 73, of Chickamauga, Georgia, according to a statement issued Sunday by Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesman trooper Curtis Summerville.

Holcomb was pronounced dead at the scene, Summerville said. Hall, along with the driver of the Nissan, Jason Wayne Haynes, 39, also of Pisgah, were transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Summerville said the crash occurred at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, two miles east of Pisgah. Alabama officials are continuing to investigate, he said.
