Suspect sought in Athens, Tennessee, shooting

Athens, Tennessee, police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured Sunday night.

Responding to a call around 8:15 p.m. in Cook Park, officers with the Athens Police Department found a man, identified as Willie Lusane Jr., with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Witnesses told officers that Lusane had been arguing with a 17-year-old male. The teen left the area but later returned with another male, who has yet to be identified. The other male produced a shotgun and shot Lusane in the thigh.

The 17-year-old male has been identified but his name is being withheld because he's a minor.

Lusane was transported to the hospital.
