The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's basketball program received a commitment late Tuesday evening from Jaden Frazier, a 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward from St. George, Virginia.

Frazier chose the Mocs over 11 other Division I offers, including Southern Conference programs UNC Greensboro and Wofford. He is the second player committed to UTC's 2019 signing class, joining 6-5, 205-pound guard/forward Grant Ledford of Knoxville Grace.

Frazier plays for Blue Ridge School, which last season had a pair of first-team Virginia Independent School Athletic Association all-state selections, Sardaar Calhoun and Darius McGhee. Myles Jones, who signed with Division II member Tusculum, gave the team three double-digit scorers.

Frazier is a three-star prospect, according to ESPN, and is ranked as the seventh-best prospect in Virginia for 2019. He is coming off a junior season in which he averaged seven points and 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 52 percent from the field and 67 percent from the free-throw line. He had six double-digit scoring games and a pair of double-doubles: a 20-point, 14-rebound performance against Amelia Academy on Dec. 18, and a 13-point, 10-rebound, three-block game against Virginia Academy on Feb. 6.

The Mocs have one senior on their 2018-19 roster, Thomas Smallwood. Former South Alabama guard A.J. Caldwell is sitting out this season due to transfer rules but will be available with four seasons to play starting in 2019-20.
