A Chattanooga man wanted for attempted first-degree murder has been arrested in Kentucky.

Aaron Jackson, 19, was located Thursday morning at an apartment in Danville, Kentucky, according to a Facebook post by the Danville Police Department.

The arrest stemmed from a shots fired call on July 13 in the 2500 block of 6th Ave Court, according to Chattanooga police.

Bullet casings were found and evidence was processed which linked Jackson to the incident, and as a result, a warrant for his arrest was obtained.

Danville police officers assisted the U.S. Marshal Service in taking him into custody without incident.

Jackson is being held in the Boyle County Detention Center pending extradition back to Chattanooga.

As a result of the July incident, Jackson was placed on Hamilton County's 12 most wanted fugitives, according to a sheriff's office spokesman.

Individuals are posted on the list based on what their warrants/charges are, regardless of which jurisdiction within Hamilton County they are issued, not just sheriff's office cases.

This is a developing story.
