TBI identifies Bradley County Jail inmate who died Monday

54-year-old woman found unresponsive in her cell

An inmate was found unresponsive inside a cell at the Bradley County (Tenn.) Jail on Monday afternoon, a news release states.

The female inmate who died has been identified by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation as 54-year-old Fawn Zanette Branham.

An autopsy is pending, according to the TBI.

Corrections officers and on-site medical personnel requested emergency assistance and began life-saving measures on the inmate, according to Brian Graves, a spokesman for the Bradley County Sheriff's Office.

Bradley County Emergency Medical Services personnel soon arrived and the inmate was declared dead, Graves said.

The 10th Judicial District Attorney's Office was notified under protocol and the TBI has taken over the investigation.
