A search resumed Monday for a Shelbyville, Tennessee man who went missing on Tims Ford Lake, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and Franklin County authorities.
Christopher S. Hale, 41, was boating near the Bluegill Grill, a floating restaurant on the northern portion of sprawling Tims Ford Lake, early Sunday, officials said.
TWRA officials said witnesses told officials that Hale "entered the water and disappeared" and was not wearing a life jacket, but the circumstances surrounding how the man ended up in the water are not yet clear.
"We really can't release anything much," Franklin County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Chris Guess said Monday, "but we will be resuming the search."
TWRA, Franklin County sheriff's officers and rescue squad members from Franklin County and neighboring Coffee County will rejoin the search of a "large area in 40-60 foot depths where the missing man was last seen," state officials said.
