Survivor of Nashville shooting hopes to walk again

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The sole survivor in a series of shootings in Nashville, Tennessee, is beginning rehabilitation in the hopes that she'll walk again.

The woman and her husband spoke to The Tennessean on Sunday about the ordeal, but asked to remain anonymous because the suspects are still on the loose.

The woman said she was walking her dogs shortly after midnight on Aug. 8 when she noticed a small, dark-colored Chevrolet that's since been connected to a series of shootings pass by on her walk and then return. When she was shot, she said the bullet grazed her spine and left her paralyzed.

Since then, four others have been fatally shot and the suspects have the same description.

Police warned residents Saturday to continue to be careful. They had no updates Sunday.
