One man is dead and another injured after a shooting in the 1500 block of Bradt Street Friday evening, Chattanooga police say.

Kevin Crayton, 27, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to a local hospital where he later died, according to a news release. Jatoni Crayton, 34, was shot in the back. His injury was not life-threatening.

At the scene, investigators found a Tennessee-issued handgun carry permit belonging to Montrell Williams, according to court documents. Several 9mm and .40 caliber shell casings were also found, something that indicated two shooters.

Surveillance footage showed two vehicles pull onto Bradt Street near the crime scene, court records show. Moments later, multiple gunshots could be heard before the two vehicles, in addition to a third one, flee the area.

A witness told police that Kevin Crayton was in a "heated verbal altercation" with a man named Kevion "Lil Si" Hubbard moments before the shooting. The witness also said two "close associates" of Hubbard were at the scene, one of whom was Williams.

Another witness told police that they saw a woman, Sherquilla Hubbard, pull into the street and then saw Williams and Kevion Hubbard shoot the victims.

Investigators determined Sherquilla Hubbard "acted in concert to the murder by driving the shooters to that location and then providing their escape," court records state.

Sherquilla Hubbard has been charged with criminal homicide and attempted first-degree murder.

Williams has been charged with criminal homicide, attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony.

Kevion Hubbard has not yet been apprehended, according to online court documents.
