Three juveniles were arrested Tuesday afternoon after leading Chattanooga police on a chase that started in the area of North Holtzclaw Avenue.

Police attempted to stop the white Toyota 4Runner, which was stolen and is believed to be connected to several aggravated assaults and reports of shots fired, police spokesman Trevor Tomas said.

But the vehicle didn't stop, and instead pealed out onto North Holtzclaw Avenue in front of Wendy's restaurant. Several police vehicles followed, blue lights flashing.

Workers at the Wendy's were surprised and concerned as they served customers in the busy lunchtime drive-thru line. One woman exclaimed the fleeing driver could get someone killed.

No injuries were reported, Tomas said, but the juveniles did hit two vehicles: one on North Hawthorne Street and another at the intersection of McCallie Avenue and South Hawthorne Street.

That is where the juveniles were apprehended and taken to the juvenile detention center.

No police vehicles were damaged.
