Chattanooga woman injured in Monday morning shooting

Chattanooga police are investigating an early morning shooting Monday that left a woman injured.

Responding to a call of a person shot just before 12:30 a.m., police arrived in the 3800 block of Dorris Street where they were told the victim had already been taken to a local hospital in a personal vehicle, according to a news release.

Investigators spoke with the 24-year-old victim, who said she was walking in the area of 200 W. 38th St. when she was shot.

No suspect information is available and the investigation in ongoing, the release states.
