The Lookout Mountain Incline Railway will be closing for seasonal repairs on Dec. 31 and will reopen March 2019.

"To ensure the utmost safety for passengers, we continuously provide routine maintenance while complying with Federal transportation standards. We are using the winter months, which is the Incline's off-peak season, to enhance our rider experience," said Lisa Maragnano, executive director of CARTA.

The Incline Railway is one of Chattanooga's most visited attractions and entertains customers from around the world each year. It is owned and operated by CARTA, the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority.

Updates on the opening of the Incline will be available on ridetheincline.com.
