LADY VOLS REPORT

The ninth-ranked Lady Vols took their first loss of the season Tuesday, allowing 14 3-pointers in a 95-85 home defeat to eighth-ranked Stanford. The Cardinal shot 55 percent from the field and 58 percent from 3-point range, while Tennessee was held to 40 percent from the field and had only five points from its bench.

East Tennessee State University has struggled this season, winning only against Appalachian State and North Carolina A&T. The Bucs have been led by the quick Haynes-Overton, the Southern Conference freshman of the year last season, but they've struggled to find a second option to go along with the sophomore

ETSU prefers an up-and-down tempo that fits right into Tennessee's style of play. The Lady Vols are bigger, longer and faster, and after the Stanford loss they have an opportunity to get back to what they do best, and that's attack the rim.
